OneVoice London sends messages of solidarity to Israelis and Palestinians.
Last Wednesday, July 25th, OneVoice London held an event led by Department for International Development Minister Shahid Malik and Shadow Foreign Office Minister David Liddington outside the House of Lords on Abingdon Green.
MPs and Peers, international media, and 300 members of the public came to send their own personal messages of support to Israelis and
Palestinians working for peace. These messages will be displayed at the
simultaneous summits on October 18th, “One Million Voices to End the
Conflict”.
Participants represented an incredible cross section of the political spectrum from Liberal Democrats, Labour, Conservatives and Northern Ireland Party. The Minister for the Environment, Hilary Benn was there in addition to Minister David Lidington and Minister Shahid Malik.
This event was an amazing success and a demonstration of solidarity for the Israelis and Palestinians in the region who are working to promote the message of the moderate majority: that they both desire a peaceful two state solution.
