New York, September 20, 2011—OneVoice youth leaders Eyal Shapira and Obada Shtaya spoke about their activism on the ground, the future of the two-state solution, and the Palestinian UN bid at a Capitol Hill briefing on Monday. OneVoice's CEO Dr. Howard J. Sumka provided opening remarks and Ambassador Philip C. Wilcox moderated the panel. The event was covered by C-Span and co-sponsored by American Task Force on Palestine, Americans for Peace Now, and Foundation for Middle East Peace.
OneVoice's International Education Program tour of Washington, DC kicked off on Sunday with an event at Busboys and Poets. Voice of America was on hand to interview the youth leaders and will air the segment on Thursday. Stay tuned for more details.
