OneVoice Israel collaborated with student organizations at Tel Aviv University to put on the first regional IEP event, bringing OneVoice Palestine youth leaders to speak before Israeli students.
There were around 25-30 participants at the event, many of them OV supporters. The crowed was very silent during the presentations; they were very thirsty to know the background of these students. It was a moving experience for the Israeli students to meet people from the other side who speak about the future in such a constructive way. Questions from the audience were regarding what normal life in Palestine is like, how relations with Hamas work, the details of the PA security force in Jenin, and the reaction of the general Palestinian public to the work of OVP.
One student in the audience said that if it was between he and the OVP leaders, the conflict could be solved in one hour.
More meetings like this one will be organized in the coming months - the next will be at the Herzliya IDC.

I would ask these students from Palestine if they would be willing to renounce all the verses in the Qur'an, Hadeth, and Sunnah which directly refrence Jewish hatred and the need for Jewish humiliation.

Wonderful work. To the previous comment - there are no such references in the Quran etc. All religions (including Judaism) can be taking out of context by fundamentalists. Stop being so ignorant. I hope the jewish students understand how awful life is in occ territories and how humiliating it has been for palestinians who have had their homes demolished.. Many citizens of Gaza initially lived in the now Israeli towns of Sderot etc.. but ofcourse that is all forgotten now..

I have had an interest in this group for a long time. I am impressed with your honesty and purpose. What I don't know is what would a 2 state solution look like? How would it be formed and secured? Finally, what could be done about Hammas? It seems to me they are the problem for both sides.
I will be in Israel soon Mar. 18th, I would like to talk with one of your people there. How can I do this?
Thank you

Where in the Quran, does it state its hatred to Jews?
Can you, Jerrold Sobel renounce all the verses in the Old Testament and the Torah that call for violence?

Who are you people kidding? With just a cursory knowledge of current events, it’s unmistakable; every ongoing conflict in the world today involves Islam. From the Taliban’s destruction of the ancient Buddha’s in Afghanistan; to the massacres of thousands of Hindus in India; From the Madrid train attack, to the nightclub in Bali; explosions in London; Abu Sayyaf insurgency in the Philippines; wars on the African continent; the Israeli, Palestinian conflict; fighting in Lebanon; Sept. 11th; and most recently, the horror of Mumbai and Indonesia. With each abhorrent act, the question begs, why is this? What’s making these people so angry? The propagandists of the world would have you believe it’s the Palestinian issue. To intelligent people, that’s laughable. Doesn’t all this violence fly in the face of President Obama deeming Islam “a peaceful religion?” By what real reason are Muslims seemingly the common denominator in every confrontation currently going on around the globe? With a thirst for answers to these vexing questions, I began an examining the pillars of Islam; the Qur’an, aHadith, and Sunnah, and after some examination my quandary began to clear.
Studied for centuries with incessant iteration at Madrasas throughout the world, the Qur’an is considered by Muslims; the direct message of Allah to the people, as delivered by the prophet Mohammed. Unfortunately, the Qur’an is replete with invective and blood libel for those “unbelievers;” both Christians and Jews, all those which refused conversion in lands under Moslem domination from Malaysia to Spain. Quoting a verse in chapter 8 concerning punishment of non-believers:
”Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them." Taken as the direct message from Allah, innumerable precepts such as this cannot, and have not been abrogated over the centuries. No less incendiary are the collected deeds, associations, and approvals accredited to the prophet Mohammed found in both the Hadith and the Sunnah.
Even an uncritical examination of the Hadith will yield malevolent denunciations such as found in volume 3; Book 34; number 38 of this compendium: "May Allah curse the Jews, for Allah made the fat (of animals) illegal for them, yet they melted the fat and sold it and ate its price." Although the Jewish religion bore the major brunt of Islamic hostility; disdain for Christianity is also rampant despite the putative reverence of Jesus and Mary. An example of this can also be found in chapter 2 of the Qur’an. “Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing and there is a covering over their eyes, and there is a great punishment for them.” As if these vignettes aren’t hateful enough, they pale compared to the chapters and verses referring to Jihad; “the struggle.”
9:123 O you who believe, fight those of the unbelievers near you and let them see how harsh you can be. Know that Allah is with the righteous. When an “unbeliever;” any person or religion other than a Muslim reads this, or “009.073: O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell, an evil refuge indeed;” it doesn’t sound much different than; “The Islamic Resistance Movement draws its guidelines from Islam; derives from it its thinking, interpretations and views about existence, life and humanity; refers back to it for its conduct; and is inspired by it in whatever step it takes.” The latter being the first article of the Hamas Charter.
Few people in the know would deny that Hamas, not the vanquished PLO is the true power broker on the Palestinian side. When you examine article 7 of their Charter, most rational people understand why any sort of a settlement or even an accommodation with these killers is out of the question. Quoted directly from a canonical Hadith it states “-“Muslims will fight the Jews (and kill them); until the Jews hide behind rocks and trees, which will cry: O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, come on and kill him!” Oh those peace loving Palestinians. Obama would have you believe, if only Israel would stop building settlements the world would be at peace; a laughable prevarication from one of the all time prevaricators.
Political correctness aside, the conclusion is inescapable, by default; Islam has always been, is now, and will always be at odds with those refusing adherence to its deity. Their anger has little or nothing to do with secular issues such as buildings or for that matter, Palestinian Statehood itself. These contentions are subterfuge for the Eurabists and other anti-Semites throughout the world to dwell upon. Their true goal is unambiguously expressed in their Holy books, hegemony in Israel and the rest of the world.
