Salaam/Shalom and Together for Peace at Leeds University hosted OneVoice and its educational program on campus. Ana Lipnik and Abeer Al-Natsheh both shared their personal stories with an audience of around 30 students and activists. Attendance to this event was by invitation only as we wanted to include the most active and influential figures on campus. The Lunch time event discussed the organization’s activities in Israel and Palestine and the means through which OneVoice youth leaders attract people to take part in them. The audience was very supportive of OneVoice’s message and expressed their desire in getting involved. Forming a OneVoice chapter at Leeds University was discussed and will be followed up with during the coming couple months. Muslim, Jewish, Palestinian and Israeli students were present at the event.

this is simply not true, there were no Palestinians in attendance apart from the Onevoice 'leaders' who, for whatever misguided reason, have decided that being with an organisation that talks of flowery peace without a mention of the crimes of the occupation.
Organisations such as this create the impression that the problem in Palestine is a 'conflict' between 2 equal sides and make it harder for people to see the real problem that is Israel's racist ideology.
The Muslim students that went there were only to express their opposition.
