The Abyss of Humanity

A Palestinian woman disfigured by kitchen burns planned to blow up the Israeli hospital where she was being treated, apparently coerced by Al Aqsa Brigades.  A week later, amidst threats to kill the Israeli Prime Minister and “set the country on fire” if the Israeli Defense Forces evacuate Gaza settlers, a band of Kach-guided right-wing Jewish extremists threw rocks and blocks at a semi-conscious Palestinian boy, from a meter away.

Have we seen the abyss of humanity?

Can we reverse the course set by the pathological militant absolutism of a radical few?

Are we doing enough to counteract these fringes?

The case of 21-year old Wafa Samir Ibrahim al-Biss should have enraged citizens worldwide.  She was hiding 22 pounds of explosives apparently embedded in her underwear through a mix of coercion, indoctrination and blackmail by terrorists.  Wafa had been going for treatment to Israel since December 2004, when she suffered severe burns from a gas canister explosion in her home in the Jabalya refugee camp.  The terrorists sought to exploit a humanitarian allowance for travel into Israel and commanded Wafa to blow herself up in a "noisy, crowded place" at the Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva where she received medical treatment.

*AN UNHOLY ALLIANCE*

Palestinian militant groups seek to torpedo efforts at reconciliation through terror, and as such, they have an unwitting and unholy alliance with militant Israeli “thugs” (as Prime Minister Sharon called them).

The actions of a radical minority of violent settlers should also infuriate us all.  They went on a wild rampage in the village of Muwasi, rioting, bullying and attacking young Palestinians.  They blocked Israeli highways and threw nails and gasoline into the roads.  They beat a young soldier into a comma.  Two militant West Bank settlers were detained after discovery of their plan to drive two cars filled with containers of gasoline in to Kibbutz Galuyot.  Threats to assassinate Prime Minister Sharon and to bomb the Al Aqsa Mosque surface all too frequently.  And yesterday they planted a “warning bomb” in Jerusalem’s central bus station.

Gen. Danny Rothschild, a OneVoice Israel Board member, warned me of this weeks ago, when he explained that, unlike older patriotic hardliners, a new generation of rabid militants have no moral compass or boundaries and no sense of respect for the nation.  That description, it struck me, reminded me of a conversation I had with Dr. Fathi Darwish, Director General of OneVoice-Palestine, about the “anarchy of arms” on the Palestinian side, and how certain villages are haunted by gangs of young hoodlums that answer to no one.

Sharon denounced the rampaging "thugs who try to terrify Israeli society and tear it apart by violence against Jews and Arabs".  He added: “We cannot let a small group of law-breakers impose a reign of terror."  He insisted the battle was not over the disengagement plan, but over the future of Israel.  In fact, how we battle violent absolutism will significantly define global society over the next few decades.

*NUMBED INTO INACTION*

Alas, Israelis, Palestinians and concerned citizens worldwide have been so desensitized by this ongoing conflict that their indignation at these repellent horrors ends in shrugs.

When we are unable to stand up in uniform condemnation against subhuman violent absolutism, when brutal ghastly behavior does not arouse the ire and action of the host population to discourage, isolate and eradicate it in all of its manifestations, it is time for us to ask whether each of us is doing enough to ensure the majority seeking a two-state solution and a better future for their children will ultimately prevail.

We cannot shrug our shoulders in silence.  Each one of us must vocally and visually scorn militancy. Community leaders and ordinary citizens must start by sending a clear message to neighbors and fellow citizens uniformly reproaching all forms of violent absolutism.  Disapproval must be heartfelt, active, and constant in order to alter the moral environment within which militants operate.

*FIRM MAJORITIES SUPPORT NON-VIOLENT PATH TO TWO STATE SOLUTION*

The silver lining of this abyss is that Israelis and Palestinians alike have peeked and they do not like what they saw.  The number of Palestinians supporting suicide bombings against civilians has steadily declined ever since it skyrocketed to 86% in October 2000.  Under the leadership of President Mahmoud Abbas, who has taken strong steps against incitement, over 60% now opposes the path of terror.  Seventy-six percent of the 125,000 Palestinians and Israelis that took part in OneVoice Citizen Negotiations supported a two-state solution – see the data at http://www.silentnolonger.org/wps/WPS_PA_501/Links/3rdRound_Summary.pdf or read the report at http://blog.onevoicemovement.org/one_voice/2004/10/index.html   consistent with survey data over the years.  And Israelis are coming back to support Sharon’s disengagement plan in greater numbers, as militant settler strategies clearly backfire.

Unfortunately, the numbers are still far from what they need to be.  Only once the supra-majorities of both populations vocally reject the path of terror and dehumanization and recognize the need for working solutions that respect both sides will the terrorist and militant infrastructure be isolated and their funding and moral support dry up till their extinction.

*MEDIA’S ABSENCE*

Remarkable efforts from dozens of aligned Israeli and Palestinian organizations fostering reconciliation and understanding are underway.  Yet as you do not read about them in the news, you would think they are non-existent, and in this day and age, without media coverage, they may very well be.

Why is media reporting on positive newsworthy developments so absent? And what can we do to change that? We have to accept newscasters will look for the most provocative stories to increase their ratings, and the tools of reason and civic discourse are not sexy enough.  Since only mean madness captures media coverage, dwellers drown in a sea of sordid insanity.

*SMALL STEPS BY MANY OF US CAN SHIFT THE BALANCE OF POWER*

Violent extremists, while a minority, are so fanatically committed to their cause that they have thus far overpowered passive moderates in the majority.  Can we, without resorting to violence, turn dark energies against themselves?  As advocates of absolutism are exposed as false messiahs, they are de-legitimized.  People will turn to brighter alternatives if demonstrated to them.  But grassroots leadership is a pre-requisite.  The power of one should not be underestimated.  If each one of us does just a little bit more to condemn violent extremism in our community, we can alter the environment.  We can and must tap the frustration that millions like us are feeling and provide tools to channel them towards constructive paths.  But it will only succeed if we all play our part.

*THIS IS NOT AN ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT*

In the end, the most important way to re-channel energies is to reframe the conflict.  This is no longer a struggle of Israelis versus Palestinians.  It is about the vast majority willing to live in peace versus tiny but dedicated minorities on both sides that will stop at nothing to achieve an absolutist vision denying the humanity of the other.  We need to stop them first.  And we need to stop them now.  If we do not, their bitter hatred will envelop us all.  Know that they plot and fight for a delusional vision that will impact your future and that of your progeny. Now ask yourself:  What are you doing today to advance the cause of reason?

WHAT DO YOU THINK?!  TELL US WHAT YOU THINK ONEVOICE SHOULD DO TO AWAKEN CITIZENS INTO ACTION AGAINST EXTREMISM.

This is a phenominal observation -- the smartest, most objective analysis I can find anywhere. The world needs you to succeed.

Daniel,

Congratulations on your good work! Suggest you contact the American Diaspora Alliance for Israeli Palestinian Peace (ADAIPP)chaired by Ron Goodman and Sam Halaby. (www.adaipp.org)

Mike

I believe it is unjust what is taking place in Israel against the jews, I also believe it is unjust that innocent Bystanders have to suffer from such diabolic acts caused by extremists. I turn to the holy bible where the scripture tell us what we are to expect. Therefore I believe that there is a God the only God of Abraham Isaac & Jacob who will reveal Himself and protect His people. There is ofcourse a diffirent way to look into it, where we apply the kind of science and secular way of thinking that leaves us with questionable issues that will not guarantee the safety and security for the people in Israel. The other threats are countries like Iran and Syria who have made it possible for these Palestian Extremist to do what they have done so far.

i believe the work your organization is doing is by
far the fairest and perhaps the best opportunity the region has for a peacefull future.
I do not think however that enough people in the region and worldwide are aware or understand your vision, I truly believe that sponsoring a concert
with world famous artists
joining together for the cause would skyrocket peoples awareness and interest in onevoice.

I think a joint advisory council made up of distingwished Israelis and Palestinians should be established with media fanfare, and a "Peace Process" which I have outlined previous set up to start the process dealing with basic issues first, and then graduating to more sensitive issues such as territories. I can't see how unilateral territory withdrawals will succeed with all the hatrid being taught and spread via schools, media, and clergy .

I think the only way for moderates to overcome the appeal of extremists is if they can present a compelling alternative vision, just wanting peace isn't enough. If a broad base of moderates across both communities can agree on the future, then they can use their votes to ensure their politicians implement it.

Adding to my previous comment, Onevoice clearly is homing in on a vision, but it's not obvious exactly what is agreed under each of the 10 points. The precise proposals that are agreed need to be very upfront and politicians need to be put under pressure to sign up to them.

DECONSTRUCTING ISLAMIC TERRORISM
London has joined that chain of cities – from New York to Mombasa, Madrid to Istanbul, Riyadh to Islamabad, Casablanca to Bali – whose ordinary citizens have suffered indiscriminate, violent, and cruel assaults by Islamists. Terrorism is once again on centre-stage, and no one doubts that such acts will return to prominence again and again.
Horrible, yes! Nevertheless it is time for the world to end its preoccupation with terrorism, put into reasonable perspective, and compare it against other threats faced by human civilization. Homicides in the world’s major cities, for example, add up to a yearly number far in excess of those killed in terrorist attacks, including those of 911. Traffic fatalities are probably several times that. It is by considering such facts that we can arrive at a measure of calmness and contemplate the way ahead.
Exorcism Will Not Work
Medieval exorcists believed that insanity could be cured by expelling evil spirits from those possessed. But this was a doubtful strategy; medieval “doctors” may have derived some cruel satisfaction from their work, but very little real success. On the contrary, they vastly increased the numbers of the mentally ill.
America’s “war against terror” is predicated on a similarly faulty assumption. It is now trapped inside a top that spins faster and faster while going nowhere. Bombed, hounded, and evicted from former sanctuaries in Afghanistan, bin Laden’s men – and countless others who share his goals – now repeatedly demonstrate that they are well and alive. Like angry hornets that have survived the destruction of their nest, they have spread far and wide. Ever since the “coalition of the willing” formally declared a “|war against terror”, major terrorist attacks have increased.
Instead of macho pumping, fighting terrorism needs a scientific approach. It must be recognized as a grave, but treatable, mental illness that must be dealt with by methods similar to those of scientific medicine. One must record the symptoms, examine the patient’s history, ask the right questions, identify relevant environmental factors, and then proceed with the cure.
Why Muslim Terrorism?
Substantial sections of Muslim societies undeniably support terrorism and violence today. The 2003 Pew Global Survey found that solid majorities in several Muslim countries actually believe that Osama bin Laden can do “the right thing regarding world affairs”. But the recent rise of fundamentalist, neo-totalitarian Muslim movements that use terrorism is an aberration, not a norm in Muslim history. What explains the extreme antipathy to the West?
The Pipes-Lewis school, which is so popular in America today, attributes Islam’s current hostile relationship with the West as a consequence of Islam being fundamentally negative towards secular, democratic, and pluralistic values. But even if Islam rejects such values, surely the relationship between the US and conservative Arab countries, as well as Islamic dictators in many countries, have traditionally been much warmer than with most Muslim secular states. Tying terrorism with Islam’s particular belief system is a tenuous proposition.
On the other side, some sympathetic analysts see Islamic terrorism and suicide bombings in terms of poverty, deprivation, and lack of opportunity. These can certainly be important contributory factors. But the poor and desperate do not necessarily take up the gun. Hundreds of millions of impoverished Africans, as well as 300 million Dalit untouchables of India, are perfectly docile and free from violence.
This leads to the hypothesis that Islam is an extraordinarily violent religion. It is certainly true that Islam – like Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism or any other religion – can readily rally its adherents into making war. Indeed, every religion is about the finality of its truth and militant defence of its beliefs, and every religion is potentially violent. But unless one can understand why and how a mere potential for violence was turned into reality, this has no explanatory value.
The sea change in Muslim attitudes over the last few decades is entangled in a complex web of factors. But one can get the glimmerings of a genuine understanding by looking at history.
The Rise and Fall of Muslim Modernization
When new Muslim nation states emerged in the 20th century after the end of the colonial period, not even one of their leaders was a fundamentalist. Turkey’s Kemal Ataturk, Algeria’s Ahmed Ben Bella, Indonesia’s Sukarno, Pakistan’s Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Egypt’s Gamal Abdel Nasser, and Iran’s Mohammed Mosaddeq all sought to organize their societies on the basis of secular values. However, Muslim and Arab nationalism, part of a larger anti-colonial nationalist current across the Third World, included the desire to control and use national resources for domestic benefit.
The conflict with American and Western greed was inevitable. Indeed, America’s foes during the 1950’s and 1960’s were secular nationalists, not fundamentalists. Mossadeq, who opposed Standard Oil’s grab at Iran’s oil resources, fell victim to a CIA coup. Sukarno, accused of being a communist, was removed by US intervention and a resulting bloodbath that consumed about eight hundred thousand lives. Nasser, who had Islamic fundamentalists like Saiyyid Qutb publicly executed, fell foul of the US and Britain after the Suez Crisis. On the other hand, until very recently, America’s friends were the sheikhs of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, all of whom practiced highly conservative forms of Islam but were friendly to Western oil companies.
Pressed from outside, corrupt and incompetent from within, secular Muslim governments proved unable to defend national interests or deliver social justice. Failure after failure left a vacuum that Islamic religious movements grew to fill – in Iran, Pakistan and Sudan, to name a few. There was widespread anger, both in Muslim and non-Muslim countries, at outright American support for the Israeli annexation of captured territories in the 1967 war and its settlement policies. The defeat of the secular PLO and its expulsion from Lebanon in 1982 paved the way for Hamas to dominate the Palestinian resistance. Nevertheless, there was no global terrorist movement as yet.
The Genesis of International Jihad
There may well have been no 911 but for 1979, the year of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
With Ronald Reagan as the rival presidential candidate, Jimmy Carter could not afford to appear soft on the Soviets. Officials like Richard Perle, Assistant Secretary of Defense, immediately saw Afghanistan not as the locale of a harsh and dangerous conflict to be ended but as a place to teach the Russians a lesson. Such “bleeders” became the most influential people in Washington.
The bleeders soon organized and armed the Great Global Jihad, funded by Saudi Arabia, and executed by Pakistan. A powerful magnet for militant Sunni activists was created by the US. The most hardened and ideologically dedicated men were sought on the logic that they would be the best fighters. Advertisements, paid for from CIA funds, were placed in newspapers and newsletters around the world offering inducements and motivations to join the Jihad. American universities produced books for Afghan children that extolled the virtues of jihad and of killing communists.
In 1988 Soviet troops withdrew unconditionally and US-Pakistan-Saudi-Egypt alliance emerged victorious. Four years later the Soviet Union collapsed. Francis Fukuyama’s thesis “The End of History” became wildly popular. But appearances were illusory, and events over the next two decades were to reveal the true costs of the victory. Even in the mid 1990’s it was clear that the victorious alliance had unwittingly created a dynamic now beyond its control. After the Soviet Union collapsed, the United States walked away from an Afghanistan in shambles. The Taliban emerged; Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda made Afghanistan their base. September 11 followed.
What Sustains Terrorism?
Once set into motion, Islamic terrorism has been sustained by the following:

The Palestinian-Israeli issue, with daily televised images of Palestinian suffering, together with unstinting US support for Israel, evoke anger and bitterness in Muslim populations around the world. This is, by far, the single greatest element that rallies Muslims against the US. Each old reason gains new ferocity whenever, with America’s nod, Ariel Sharon’s bulldozers plow into Palestinian homes and reduce towns to rubble. Other nationalist movements such as in Chechnya, Kashmir, and Philippines have turned increasingly towards Islam when denied political accommodation. Their impact is still largely local, but they add to the general feeling that Muslims are being specifically targeted.
George W. Bush once rhetorically asked: “Why do they hate us?”. After the Iraq war, that question has a ready answer for millions the world over. The daily televised bombardment of Baghdad with cruise missiles and bombs hailing down from the skies, smashed bodies and decapitated children, bombed out hospitals, women and children shot dead at checkpoints manned by the Marines, and the burning of Iraq’s priceless architectural and literary heritage, have added to all older reasons.
America’s war on Iraq, waged on the pretext of chasing weapons of mass destruction, was supposed to crush terrorism. Instead, one hundred thousand deaths later, Iraq has become a new fountainhead for terrorism and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Here, Islamic groups have an opportunity to engage the US in battle. It is one that uses asymmetric tactics and is popular because Muslims overwhelmingly believe that this war was about oil and supporting Israel.
Islamists Are Dangerous But Weak
Faced with internal failure, manifest decline from a peak of greatness many centuries ago, and afflicted by cultural dislocation in an age of globalization, many Muslim societies have turned inwards. This has had political consequences that favor Islamist movements.
These movements sustain themselves through relentless brain-washing. At least some Muslim states (Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,…) have school curricula that explicitly call for jihad, denigrate other religions, and create a mindset eminently suited for recruitment into extremist organizations. Preachers in mosques, who have large audiences, openly call for violence. Centralization of religious authority, as in Egypt (under Al-Azhar University), has been imposed to prevent radical clerics, with large public access, from stoking the fires by issuing arbitrary “fatwas”. In Pakistan, such an imposition, if attempted, would be bitterly fought.
Although Islamists rail against the West, they are – and will remain – fundamentally a very weak force. They have no science – the strength behind modern civilization – and can never be capable of it. Irrespective of their numbers, they cannot have the awesome strength which springs from accepting the paradigm of reason and logic, respecting democratic institutions, allowing value systems to evolve, and boldly challenging dogma without being condemned as blasphemers. They cannot see why the West’s success has anything to do with personal freedom and liberty, artistic and scientific creativity, the compulsive urge to innovate and experiment, and its universities.
Each blow inflicted by America has led Islamists to predict that the pain and humiliation will make all Muslims to close ranks, forget old grudges, purge traitors and renegades from the ranks, and generate a collective rage great enough to take on the power of today’s governing civilization. Each time they have been dead wrong. This inability to learn has led to self-defeating and self-harming terrorism. Islamic militant organizations have done far greater harm to Muslims, whose causes they claim to promote, than to those who they battle against. They have yet to learn that fanatical acts can sting and provoke the American colossus but never seriously hurt it.
Any Reason for Hope?
Ultimately, the only way by which Muslim societies can become democratic, pluralistic, and free from violent extremism, is by going through their own struggles. It cannot be done – as the failure of America’s efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq demonstrates – by imposing colonial rule. America’s imperial agenda, and its unstinting support for Israeli fanatics, works towards slowing internal reform and even reversing it.
Is there any reason to believe that indigenous reform is possible? Islam is certainly immutable as the Quran. But Muslims have, and will continue to, change.
The Muslim country which offers the most hope for indigenous reform is a declared member of George Bush’s axis-of-evil. The election of the arch-conservative Ahmadenijad over the relatively moderate Rafsanjani is admittedly a big setback, and can be directly traced to US threats to attack Iran. Nevertheless it does not change the fact that Iran has the finest education system in the Muslim world, a population that is culturally more advanced and accepting of modernity than in Arab countries, and young people who abhor the Islamic theocracy that has ruled the country for over two decades. Even though America refused to take notice of the fact, but immediately after 911 nearly 40,000 Iranians came out to the streets in Tehran and lit candles in sympathy with the American people. Contrast that with celebrations held in countries like Pakistan that are declared US allies!
The Prognosis
America has lost the sympathy it rightfully had after 911. An impenetrable narcissism prevents most Americans from learning that the world does not share their self-image of a generous, libertarian, humane people whose innocence was injured by a savage attack on its cities. Although the US has fought 28 wars after 1945 and bombed 26 countries, maintains 12 aircraft carrier groups that constantly prowl the oceans, stations a million soldiers over five continents, and keeps thousands of nuclear weapons, nevertheless a majority of Americans continues to believe that the US seeks no more than self-defence. The re-election of George Bush and Tony Blair was a vote for a peremptory dismissal of world opinion, contempt for international laws and treaties, and vicious sneering at the United Nations.
Much media reporting falls into absurdity by attributing all acts of terrorism to Al-Qaida. In fact, shadowy and strongly motivated, but largely uncoordinated and unlinked with others, various different Islamic groups are responsible. These groups represent a part of the popular sentiment in Muslim populations, a highly dangerous sign.
At least in the near future, the relationship between Muslims and the West is likely to continue its downward descent. Muslim terrorist groups will continue to recruit successfully as long as large numbers of Muslims feel that they are being unfairly targeted. Unless this changes, and there is a perception that there is some measure of justice in world affairs, this trend must be considered irreversible. Moreover, static/declining economies will allow for an abundant supply of terrorist recruits. Unless mitigating economic strategies, skill development, job creation mechanisms, etc are seriously addressed, the situation will deteriorate as Muslim populations expand.
Only fools and the blind can be optimistic about tomorrow.

Danny:

Jenny Schoenfeld

I think also the production of
a documentary to be made in english, hebrew and arabic,
portraying regular happy israeli
families, then regular happy palestinian families, and then somehow the recruitment of either or both by extremist groups, some form of attack or agression, and
finally the view of the same families after losing a family member to terror. I Believe seeing
both sides in the before and after
could give people a strong insight
to the suffering of both sides and
the absurdity of this long conflict.

This campaign ignores the fundamental problems confronting the Palestinian community and the existing power dynamic between Israelis and Palestinians. As such, it will never establish a meaningful, just, or sustainable peace.

Every reasonable person on this planet is opposed to extremism, and this has always been true. There is nothing in this campaign against extremism that will help resolve issues concerning disputed territory or other political questions that Israelis and Palestians face.

Dear Dr. Fathi Darwish, Director General of OneVoice-Palestine

Thank you for the thoughts in "The Abyss of Humanity". I'm convinced you're right.

A question to you: Did we meet each-other some years ago, once in the office of One Voice, downstairs in the Building of PARC in Ramallah?
And before have you been in Zurich, where we meet each other?
I'm not sure.

Thank you for your work in One Voice.

Best,

Jochi Weil-Goldstein, a "Nanomillimetre-Worker"

Becareful with yan mandari, he gave comment on july 13 on this website. As FUGITIVE, he ran away from Indonesia, avoiding the law suite process, which is sending his case to the prosecutor. His case is still on process at Jakarta Police Headquarter, until he get arrested. He's currently stay di Singapore, and we are trying our best working together with Singaporean police to get him soon.

Yan Mandari is a Jakarta Police Headquarter fugitive with a swindle case. Please contact us as soon as possible if you find this fugitive at (6221)83700245 or iwt_ticket@yahoo.com.

We help people out of his action by informing this message. The world will be free from one EVIL BUSINESS MAN if this fugitive got arrested soon.

In our experience, Yan Mandari / Jan Wieland is a compulsive liar, who is incapable of conducting any business ethically.

Finally, other person/organization who got bad experience in business gave its comment about Mr. Yan Mandari, who claim himself as a successful businessman from Indonesia. We have all the required evidents about Mr. Yan Mandari fugitive status, as we were informed by the Jakarta Police Headquarter. He ran away from the legal process here in Jakarta for swindle case with total debt Rp. 140 million (+ interset) to PT. IWATA NUSANTARA.

We also have all the documents given by East Jakarta Justice Office about the verdict that cancelled all the business deal between PT. IWATA NUSANTARA and Yan Mandari/ PT. SIDMAN FINAS/PT. MANDARI CAPITAL INDONESIA. The Justice Offc required Mr. Yan Mandari to pay Rp. 100 Million for all the losses PT. IWATA NUSANTARA gained.

Please contact us at (6221)83700245 for any detail about this case. We provide all latest detail informations about Mr. Yan Mandari status about this case and it's legally proven both by Jakarta Police HQ and East jakarta Justice Offc.

Stay alert to this man!

We were associates. After we split, he tell another people, 'okay, I will have his family killed'.

You know, I am not scared at all, because its just a lot of big noise and talk, but scary for the little one's in my family when they can hear what Yan Mandari was say. Not so nice.

EVIL INVESTOR

As we've turn our operation to the 24 years in travel industry in the year of 2004, we decided to strengthen our existence by expanding our business and looking out for an investor who had the same vision in travel industry, here in Jakarta, Indonesia.

We finally met with Yan Mandari, who claimed himself as the owner of a pearl mining and factory, owner one of the airlines company in Indonesia which waited for his new aircrafts to arrive in Jakarta, and many more big industries. As business meeting made several times, we agreed to let him join in our company as investor with several agreements made and conditions as new shareholders, who we trust being the new majority shareholders of the company. The old owner just wanted the new investor to release all the debt and price of the share sold with the total amount of IDR 850 million. This amount should be delivered not more than 1 month after the signed agreement, but in fact it never happened.

To make all things worst, before all the signing process which made Yan Mandari the majority shareholders in our company, he purchased air tickets for him and several friends' trip with credit term. We were too stupid to trust this man who, claim himself as a very successful businessman with all the things he had done, until we taught it was enough. We brought him to justice to cancel all the business agreements, since he didn't want to cancel them out, and insisted that he didn't do anything wrong to the company and the old shareholders although he had breached the contract by not paying a penny for the old owner shares and all the air tickets purchased.

After approximately 14 months trial, the old owner, ROBOT Family won the case, and the East Jakarta Justice Office, finally cancel out all the business agreements signed between PT. IWATA NUSANTARA and YAN MANDARI/PT. SIDMAN FINAS/PT. MANDARI CAPITAL INDONESIA. Yan Mandari and all his parties are kicked out from the company automatically and Yan Mandari is responsible to pay the lost PT. IWATA NUSANTARA gained from this case for the amount of IDR 100 Million.

We also brought him in a swindle case to the Jakarta Police Headquarter, and as proven with his act, Yan Mandari was arrested at the Jakarta Police HQ for approx 12 days in jail, before he was bailed out. His ex brother in law, contacted us thru our lawyer to settle the case down. At first Yan (as mentioned by hi ex in law) willing to pay his debt IDR 140 Million and the settlement case IDR 160 Million. We waited for about 1 month before his ex in law also gave up about the settlement arranged before. We informed the police about the case's status, and when the police about to sent the file to the prosecutor, Yan Mandari ran away to Singapore.

He's put as a fugitive by Jakarta Police Headquarter since then, and the case still open until this day. We are giving our best to bring this man to justice, as we spreading the news about this case. People contacted us and asked about this case, and we are very happy to stop people dealing with this Evil Businessman.

We are open for any sources who would like to see all the legally proven documents about this case, because we believe that this man should be stopped in doing DIRTY BUSINESS FINANCIAL SCHEME he created to trick everybody out there. We can be reached at (6221)83700245 or iwt_ticket@yahoo.com.
